What is pentedrone (NEP)?

Pentedrone Crystals (NEP), also known as N-Ethylpentedrone or Ethyl-pentedrone, is a lesser known new stimulant within the cathinone class. NEP produces stimulating, euphoric and mildly entactogenic effects. The stimulating effects of NEP are mainly attributed to its action as a norepinephrine-dopamine reuptake inhibitor (NDRI). Although it also appears to inhibit serotonin reuptake in moderate to high doses, this activity is relatively low. NEP is structurally closely related to pentedrone, with an additional ethyl group on the terminal nitrogen, making it approximately three times as potent.

Scientifically, pentedrone induces increased physical energy and euphoria, which is attributed to its impact on neurotransmitters such as dopamine and norepinephrine.
